Solo mid succubus as he's one of the better heroes to neutralize spell casters such as thunder bringer, defiler etc. Although succubus can be just as powerful in a lane such as with valkyrie (mesmerize/arrow = 2g)
Note: This will be a competitive play guide.

Early Game

The standard, control runes by use of mesmerize (if u see the hero chasing the rune, follow him sleep, get the rune.) Don't be afraid to get into a hit for hit battle with the hero as you can sap back HP with Heartache. Unless you get a good 2 minute rune (haste or invis) just stay in your lane and go for a gank at the 4 minute rune, with ur bottle you should almost always have mana for a gank.

Early Game Item Build
- Bottle
- Marchers (once you get 500 gold send it down on your courier.)
o If your farming well and getting hero kills I would advise getting post haste boots ASAP so you can continue ganking with ease.
- If farming not so well, look at getting enhanced marchers and 2 fortified bracers.

Ganking early, Hero killing

Before level 6, you should be looking to gank lanes, wait for creeps to push up, gank from behind/side sleep 1 hero whilst ur team stuns/slows the other use your Heartache to do good dmg on the other hero. The other hero will most likely be coming out of sleep as the other hero is dead, 3 heroes hitting will most likely take that hero down as well.

When you hit level 6 and you have a reasonably squishy hero in mid for example soulstealer, valkyrie etc. You will need most of your mana pool, so use bottle wisely or save your mana pool. Run in mesmerize, wait a few seconds whilst ur mesmerize does damage, place your ulti on the hero. You can finish them off with your Heartache skill or last few hits if needed, so get in close range when u ulti so ur not too far away to use ur attack.

Lane Kills

If ur in a lane, you should look to lane with another stunner, valkyrie is one of the better ones cause his arrow is never gonna miss someone slept for 4+ seconds. ALternatively pyro, torturer, electrician are all good options. You should look to sleep their stunner, whilst ur teammate stuns the other hero, 2v1'ing you should be able to take down a hero relatively easily.

Mid Game Items

Items from here on in will be predominantly based upon your opposition. Against a team with long range stuns or targeted stuns for e.g. behemoth, blacksmith, pebbles (ones that will cancel your ulti with ease). I'd look to get a shrunken head to make you more effective in team fights, nothing worse than getting targeted or getting your ulti cancelled during a big team fight. If ur ulti canceling is the least of your worries look to get 1 of 2 items – totem of kundra (hex) or puzzle box (necro book in dota). Puzzle box more useful against invis heroes, scout, madman, nighthound etc.

During this point in the game and you are struggling to get gold, and ur sitting with just enhanced marchers and 2 bracers. Look to save 1200 gold and get a glow stone for the extra HP and mana.

During the entire mid game you will have a homecoming stone on you. (obviously not necessary if you managed to get post haste boots).

This part of the game will be mostly team fights and its important your targeting your skills on certain heroes, you should look to sleep the tanks or hard to kill heroes early e.g. legionairre, kraken, electrician. Put Smitten on the high dps/carry hero. Use your ulti on either the carry or someone with a good ulti that you want to kill and get out of the fight ASAP, e.g. tempest, soulstealer, moon queen, demented shaman.

Late Game Items

Generally you won't need many items past this point as you've basically reached ur peak in the game. If you do manage to continue to farm, get kills etc. and the game hasn't finished look to get survivability items. A frostfield plate, sacrificial heart or staff of the master is useful, just to basically tank you up with armour/HP.

Late game has basically the same team fight strategy as mid game.

SKILLS

Get electric eye at level 1, Vanish lvl 2. With electric eye set a ward watching the rune and river before the game starts. This will warn of incoming ganks also. Electric eyes should be used often and all over the map to help with recon and team ganks. You can place 4 at a time eventually.

STRATEGY

Scout is often considered a "noob" hero since he can get hero kills by getting the last attack on fleeing enemies, but in general is NOT a very good pick to help your team. Many consider him to be one of the worst heroes for any decently skilled game. You wont do much good in a big battle and you can't take on people by yourself–all you can generally hope to do is add some extra damage when other teammates can't. Higher level players utilize scouts great recon abilities to the team's advantage. You should be all over the map, assisting in EVERY gank your team makes. UPDATE: Scout now can NOT double-Vanish; Vanish has been given a cooldown but have replaced its time limit with a slow mana drain. One manatube will eliminate this mana drain so get it early. You now have a "flurry" or huge attack speed increase on your first attacks after coming out of invisible, use this to your advantage. Many people are using Assassins's Shroud to escape after you get your flurry off. As always, beware of enemies who get stealth detection (wards, eye, dust, etc)–check their inventory by selecting them when you can.

Great at pushing lanes mid-late game with the help of her creeps. You'll want to look in the jungle for neutral creeps to command. Glacius is identical to Crystal Maiden in Dota, and because of this he should be considered a top tier pick just as he is in Dota. Glacius is the purest of support heroes in the game as he has little to no need for early game creep kills and starts helping everyone on the team as early as level one with his global mana regeneration bonus. Combining his global aura with his solid laning skills makes for the perfect support hero if played properly.

Glacius

1. Skills Description

Tundra Blast

Description: Glacius assaults an enemy unit with an explosion of ice. The target unit is first damaged from the initial attack, then damaged again when the explosion damages all nearby enemy units. All units hit by the explosion have their movement and attack speed slowed. Mana Cost 100/120/140/160. Cooldown 15 seconds.

* Level 1: Deals 80 Magic damage to target and applies Tundra Blast to all units in a 400 radius for 4 seconds.
* Level 2: Deals 130 Magic damage to target and applies Tundra Blast to all units in a 400 radius for 4 seconds.
* Level 3: Deals 180 Magic damage to target and applies Tundra Blast to all units in a 400 radius for 4 seconds.
* Level 4: 230 Magic damage to target and applies Tundra Blast to all units in a 400 radius for 4 seconds.

Tundra Blast applies 30% Movement Slow and -20 Attack Speed.

Usage: This is the best nuke which Glacius has, and also serves as his slow. The slow is particularly effective at early levels as not many heroes have a 4 second slow at level 1. The starting mana for this skill is extremely low compared to his mana pool, this combined with the fact that the mana cost increases in large amounts and because there is no improvement to the slowing ability means that it is ineffective to level the skill past level one in early game play.

Ice Imprisonment

Description: Glacius encases a target enemy unit in ice. The target unit is frozen solid, rendering it unable to move or attack. The target unit takes damage over time while frozen. Mana Cost 115/125/140/150. Cooldown 10 seconds.

* Level 1: Performs a mini-stun on target then applies Ice Imprisonment for 1.5 seconds, deals 70 magic damage per second. Ice imprisonment applies immobilize and disarm, but target can still cast spells.
* Level 2: Performs a mini-stun on target then applies Ice Imprisonment for 2 seconds, deals 70 magic damage per second. Ice imprisonment applies immobilize and disarm, but target can still cast spells.
* Level 3: Performs a mini-stun on target then applies Ice Imprisonment for 2.5 seconds, deals 70 magic damage per second. Ice imprisonment applies immobilize and disarm, but target can still cast spells.
* Level 4: Performs a mini-stun on target then applies Ice Imprisonment for 3 seconds, deals 70 magic damage per second. Ice imprisonment applies immobilize and disarm, but target can still cast spells.

Usage: This is the prime disable which Glacius processes and it is a very good one in comparison to others in the game. Most disables are either long and do minimal damage, or short and do a lot of damage. This is a long disable at 3 seconds and does 210 magic damage which is a fair amount. The downside to the skill is that it is not a hard stun, which means that a hero with blink can get away despite being disabled. Also it does not prevent heroes from casting spells. The best use of this skill is in the early levels as it is completely spamable because of his high mana pool and regen from his aura, on top of which it gains its most value at level 1 (1.5 seconds of the total 3 seconds stun is gained at level 1).

Chilling Presence

Description: Glacius helps his allies remain cool in the face of danger, giving them a clear and calm mind. Increases Mana regeneration to all allied Heroes no matter where they are on the map. Passive

* Level 1: +0.5 mana regeneration to all allies on the map.
* Level 2: +1.0 mana regeneration to all allies on the map.
* Level 3: +1.5 mana regeneration to all allies on the map.
* Level 4: +2.0 mana regeneration to all allies on the map.

Usage: This is a very effective spell throughout the entire game as it not only enables Glacius to spam his spells but it gives a huge boost to all the heroes on your team. It is particularly effective at very early levels when additional mana regeneration is scarce and having this skill maxed out quickly enables your team to win all 3 lanes and hopefully gain a huge advantage.

Glacial Downpour

Description: Glacius showers the area around him with shards of ice. The shards will randomly strike around Glacius, slowing the attack and movement speed of nearby enemies and dealing intense damage to them. Mana Cost 150/175/200. Cooldown 150/120/90 seconds.

* Level 1: Spawns an Ice Shard every 0.1 seconds at a random location within 700 radius for 4 seconds or until ability is cancelled. Applies Glacial Freeze to targets within a 200 radius of where an Ice Shard impacts and damages them for 105 (170) Magic damage. Glacial Freeze applies 30% Movement Slow and -20 Attack Speed.
* Level 2: Spawns an Ice Shard every 0.1 seconds at a random location within 700 radius for 4 seconds or until ability is cancelled. Applies Glacial Freeze to targets within a 200 radius of where an Ice Shard impacts and damages them for 170 (250) Magic damage. Glacial Freeze applies 30% Movement Slow and -20 Attack Speed.
* Level 3: Spawns an Ice Shard every 0.1 seconds at a random location within 700 radius for 4 seconds or until ability is cancelled. Applies Glacial Freeze to targets within a 200 radius of where an Ice Shard impacts and damages them for 250 (310) Magic damage. Glacial Freeze applies 30% Movement Slow and -20 Attack Speed.

Usage: This skill has pretty much one use which is to help your team win a team fight with the large amounts of aoe damage it is capable of dealing. In order to maximize the potential of this skill it is necessary to be able to get to the center of the fight and find a way not to get interrupted, similar to Magmus.

Getting one level of Tundra Blast at level one serves a huge purpose as it enables you to control your lane, if heroes get to close then you can easily slow then with the nuke and get off at least 2-3 free attacks or even more if your teammate is also ranged. Getting an early level of Chilling Presence enables your allies to spam their nukes and enables you to spam your own. Ice imprisonment serves as your disable early game and as such should be leveled once at level 3 to gain an early 1.5 second disable and then maxed out as his second skill. Finally you should hold off on getting his ultimate until level 10 and 11 because it does not serve much purpose until then due to various factors such as a lack of team fights, lack of mana pool, and also his inability to get the skill off due to his lack of items.

Glacius is a support hero and he shows it right from the start by buying his team a Monkey Courier and sharing it with the team. Most importantly his lack of gold does not effect his items as he is still able to get the health regen needed and 4 to all stats which improves his health, mana pool and also his last hitting and harassing ability. He has little need for regen items as he has a aura to do that for him.

Glacius has one problem, it is staying alive because of his low hp, to maximize his potential and enable him to get off as mana nukes as possible in team fights it is imperative that he gets strength Steamboots for more health and movement speed (he is a very slow and fragile hero). Also 2-3 Fortified Bracelets give him the health he needs to survive and also give him a slightly larger mana pool. They are very easy to build which is good for support heroes which have trouble saving large sums of money. Finally the most important item which Glacius should always carry is wards of sight, because he does not need many late game items to be effective Glacius is best served as a warding hero to help his stronger late game teammate's farm up.

Glacius really has little need for items, the one thing he needs to do in team fights is try to find a way to get off his ultimate. Depending on the situation that can be easier to do with a Portal Key (if your team has a hero with a large aoe stun to prevent your ultimate from being interrupted), or you might need Shrunken Head to stop heroes from disabling you as soon as you start casting. In longer games it may become necessary to get both. Some people make an argument for Kuldra's Sheepstick on Glacius and although it is a good item it is very difficult to farm for and usually by the time a Glacius can get one the other team has won. Finally Glacius should continue to constantly buy and place wards throughout the game.

4. Hero Specific Strategies and Techniques

4.1 Laning

Even though Glacius puts a lot of effort into supporting his teammates with skills and an early game courier he is still a very effective laning hero. He does not have the last hitting ability to be a solo so he is best suited to dual lanes preferably on the longer side (bottom for Legion, top for Hellbourne) because of his long slow. Usually he is best suited to playing a support role in lane which means he harasses heroes, denies a lot of creeps and doesn't need to last hit many enemy creeps.

4.2 Ganking

Glacius is a very effective ganking hero once he gets at least Marchers but preferably strength Steamboots because until he gets these he is very susceptible to getting killed while transferring lanes because of his extremely low movement speed.

4.3 Escaping Ganks

One downside to Glacius is he is very easy to gank, he has low hp and very low base movement speed. Your best chance is to try and throw out a slow on grouping heroes and stun the closest hero to you, usually this is not enough however because Glacius can be killed by a simple nuke and stun. The bright side is that even if he does die it is not a big loss because he doesn't need much gold anyways, but your teammates might be a little upset as to where their global aura has gone.

Chronos is the equivalent to DotA's hero Faceless Void. He is considered to be the most powerful hard carry in Heroes of Newerth, but of all carries he probably has the hardest time farming to effectiveness. Chronos can basically take on any hero one-on-one, but don't expect any less coming from someone with such a fierce terror face.

Skills Descriptions

Time Leap

Chronos teleports himself through space and time to a target location. Any nearby enemies are slowed.

Level 1: Can leap forward 700 units and slows all enemy units in a 300 radius for 10%.
Level 2: Can leap forward 900 units and slows all enemy units in a 300 radius for 20%.
Level 3: Can leap forward 1100 units and slows all enemy units in a 300 radius for 30%.
Level 4: Can leap forward 1300 units and slows all enemy units in a 300 radius for 40%.

Usage: Not only is this useful for escaping any incoming ganks while farming, or running away from a failed battle, but you can also chase heroes with this. The slow that it applies to all heroes he passes by, allows him to help his team keep up the chase as well. Can also be used to initiate a battle followed up by a well placed Chronofield.

Rewind

Chronos steps back through time when damaged, giving him a chance to avoid the damage entirely.

Level 1: Has a 10% chance to avoid all incoming damage.
Level 2: Has a 15% chance to avoid all incoming damage.
Level 3: Has a 20% chance to avoid all incoming damage.
Level 4: Has a 25% chance to avoid all incoming damage.

Usage: This will only come into play during mid/late game. It is useful if you are jungling a lot, or if you are the main target (which is usually the case) in a battle. Usually it only serves you to get away after your Chronofield or when you head 1on1 against an enemy.

Time Freeze

Gives Chronos a chance to deal additional damage and briefly freeze a unit in time with each attack.

Level 1: Applies a 10% chance to deal 40 magic damage and a 1 second stun on attack to target enemy.
Level 2: Applies a 15% chance to deal 50 magic damage and a 1 second stun on attack to target enemy.
Level 3: Applies a 20% chance to deal 60 magic damage and a 1 second stun on attack to target enemy.
Level 4: Applies a 25% chance to deal 70 magic damage and a 1 second stun on attack to target enemy.

Usage: This is a very useful skill, but sadly you really have to rely on luck here, although you can help the luck later on with Geometer's Bane. Seeing as this has Bash properties it won't stack with Brutalizer, but it will apply to Illusions, which is the main reason why Geometer's Bane is a core item for this hero. During late game with the additional two illusions you will have no problem taking down any hero in a 1on1 confrontation.

Chronofield

Chronos creates a field of energy that exists outside of time. All units caught inside the field are frozen, incapable of any actions. Chronos is immune to the rift's effects and may move freely.

Level 1: Places a Chronofield to target location in which only Chronos himself can move and completely disables every unit in it or in contact with it for 3 seconds.
Level 2: Places a Chronofield to target location in which only Chronos himself can move and completely disables every unit in it or in contact with it for 4 seconds.
Level 3: Places a Chronofield to target location in which only Chronos himself can move and completely disables every unit in it or in contact with it for 5 seconds.

Usage: This is a very hard to use Ultimate, not because it's hard to capture enemies in the bubble, but because if you place it wrong you also disable your team. The best way to use Chronofield early game is by ganking lanes and only capturing the enemies in it. Your mana pool early game is quite low, so you only have enough for one Time Leap + Chronofield combo. During mid game you are able to initiate battles using Time Leap + Chronofield and late game basically demands you to do that.

Illusions

Even though everything else (besides Chronos himself) is disabled in the Chronofield, Illusions are able to move inside the bubble.

Putting your first level into Time Leap is a good choice for the start of the game, since you will be able to slow down enemies when it comes to rune ganking. Time Leap is a good escape mechanism you can use early game to get away from ganks. You basically have two choices in your game style on picking skills. If you are more of a defensive player and want to farm longer, you should max out Rewind first. If you play aggressive and want to help your team with ganking early on, then Time Freeze is the clear choice. However, you will want to get one point into each of those two skills before you hit level 6.

Starting off with enough supplies is very important for Chronos. He is a melee hero and the enemy isn't stupid enough to let him free-farm, so they will try to harass and force him off the lane. Getting the Logger's Hatchet right at the beginning really helps last hitting creeps early game when you are the most vulnerable, but loses its usefulness later as you need the inventory slot for other items.

Your core items should be as listed above in the order from top to bottom. Even though it's not listed, you should get Marchers (just the item) before going for Elder Parasite and after finishing the Iron Shield at the Outpost. Iron Shield + Elder Parasite are your free card for clearing the jungle which should give you consistent farming. Steamboots are better than Ghost Marchers on Chronos because with his Time Leap and Geometer's Bane later on, he has more than enough chasing abilities, so he doesn't need additional move speed. Thunderclaw is another great item for farming but also for killing heroes and twisting battles. Geometer's Bane is the entry to carrying your team. The two extra Illusions you get from Geometer's Bane help you stun-lock any enemy by multiple Time Freezes.

Some argue about Shieldbreaker being a core item of Chronos, but that's just not true. He has no abilities that really harmonizes with it, but it's still a great asset for him late game. Wingbow is a better choice though because of the 30% Evasion. Combined with Rewind, you will have a 47.5% chance to avoid incoming damage. Since you already have Thunderclaw, you might as well spend another 2500 gold for the upgrade to Charged Hammer.

Only get Alchemist Bones if you can gain 1900 gold (the price of the item) before the 10 minute mark of the game. If you manage to do that, you should definitely get it. If you have trouble farming during early/midgame, you might want to get either 1-2 Fortified Bracelets for extra health or 1-2 Soulscream Rings for extra damage on Chronos. Shrunken Head is only needed if the enemy hero lineup is stacked with disablers. His Chronofield is all you will need usually, but sometimes their nukes and disables are too heavy for you to not get it. Daemonic Breastplate boosts up Chronos' attack speed, gives him additional survivability and lowers the armor of the enemy, basically all you need for him, but it's only worth getting if you have trouble farming for your other items (getting killed a lot).

Alchemist Bones

If you want to get the maximum out of Alchemist Bones, always keep an eye on the cooldown and use it ONLY on the following types of creep: Vagabond Leader (300), Catman Champion (250), Vulture Lord (250), Ballista/Catapult (240) and Minotaur (210). Everything else doesn't give enough money.

Strategies and Techniques

Laning and Jungling

Your highest priority in the game is to get well farmed for late game. Your team really relies on you as a hard carry and thus you should do your best to not let them down. Chronos needs a lot of farm to become strong enough to carry, so all you do till level 16 is farm the jungle and lanes. It is best to switch between both on a regular basis, that way you won't be a very easy ganking target. You can start jungling effectively with Chronos as soon as you get Iron Shield and Hungry Spirit (which can both be bought at the Outpost). If you are farming really well early on (gaining 1900 gold before the 10 minute mark), you should definitely buy Alchemist Bones. Not only does Alchemist Bones boost up his attack speed (which he needs), but it also gives him the ability to farm even better for late game.

Soloing lone Heroes

One of Chronos' easiest and best attributes is that he is able to take down any hero in a one versus one fight. Usually you start seeking for jungling or solo lane enemy heroes at level six and Elder Parasite in your inventory. Since Chronos doesn't have too much damage at this stage of the game, you will probably want to solo the squishy heroes first for some gold income. Once you get your Thunderclaw and Steamboots as well, you will be able to solo almost any hero in the game. The best way to solo heroes is by leaping into them, giving them a few hits (with hope of a Time Freeze to proc once or twice) and then cast your Chronofield over him to give him the rest. If he still escapes, don't bother chasing him as his team is probably coming to support him.

Chronofield Initiation

Not only is Chronos an excellent late game carry, but he can also initiate battles. Basically you stand hidden in the forest before a battle begins. Then when the enemies and allies are in position you go for your initiation combo. First you use Time Leap to get into the middle of them, then you cast Chronofield over as many enemy heroes as you can, to lock them in, and hopefully your team will help you kill as much as possible, before the Ultimate wears off. If you do it smart (and with a bit of practice) you can place the Chronofield over the heroes and getting at least one locked right on the edge so your melee allies can help you as well. What you DO NOT want to do is lock your allies inside your Chronofield.

Safely Farming

After you helped your team in a battle, you go straight back to farming. You will want to farm without the risk of getting ganked and killed. So what you do is go on a lane or in the jungle only if you have 120 mana left. The 120 mana is for Time Leap when the enemies are approaching you during your farm. As soon as you see one coming towards you, get your Time Leap ready and either Leap into the forest or back to your base (depends on the lineup of the enemy). If they have a treewalker like Deadwood or Sand Wraith, you wouldn't want to Leap into the forest, since that would be suicide.

Time to Carry!

Reaching level 16 and getting the items you need is your main target in the game. From there on it is your job to carry the team. Sometimes it can delay to late level 20+, but it shouldn't. The point at which you are able to take out other heroes without the help of Chronofield is when you get Geometer's Bane for continuous Time Freezing. Like mentioned before, Chronos can take on almost every hero (if not all) in the game in a one versus one battle and with the help of your team, you can even take out a whole team late game with enough farm. The biggest downside of Chronos is that he needs a lot of farm to be an effective carry, but once he gets it, he is close to unstoppable.

Soloing Kongor

With the abilities Chronos has, he can solo Kongor quite early into the game. All you really need are Elder Parasite, Iron Shield, Steamboots and a Thunderclaw at level 16. If you keep the lane/jungle farming switches constant, your position will become unpredictable. So once you get to your desired level of being able to solo Kongor, the enemy will most likely not expect it, unless they warded Kongor's palace (yes palace, not place). The trick of being unseen at the bottom rune ward spot is to leap into Kongor from another angle. Since the enemy has a ward at the rune spot, they don't expect anyone to be getting Kongor, so you can just take him down and grab the Token of Life for a game changing advantage.

While there are plenty of ways to play this diverse hero, this is my way. This is the way of the jungle. Actually, this hero is not diverse and he blows if you don't play him this way. When properly played following this guide, the Warbeast can be 3-4 levels above the enemy solo, with thousands of gold in items at a very early point in the game. He is able to four-five shot a running hero in seconds.

The Jungle vs the Lane

Some people may advocate a lane build, but I don't. This is because the War Beast has absolutely no power in lane–most lane builds forgo Summon Hellhounds for Stats, but Summon Hellhounds are his only harass skill. Therefore, he becomes a dead weight that only sucks XP from his lane mate. On the other hand, if you go a Summon Hellhounds jungle build, you are effectively creating a new source of cash and XP for your team, and your team gains more money and XP on the whole.

Tell Your Team

This is important. Tell your team you're going jungle Warbeast before they pick their heroes. This is because you're going to need two solo heroes–one for middle, and one for Legion bottom or Hellbourne top. If your team all goes AGI carries, you're in trouble. Keep in mind that the Warbeast is EXPECTED to carry the team–your team should constantly be watching out for you and distracting the other team for you while you farm away. A proper Warbeast play heavily depends in team intelligence and cohesion.

Going option B will definitely make you a lot more money and allow you to kill Kongor faster, but Metamorphosis actually boosts your damage output by a ton, allowing you to repay your laning buddy with an assist or kill so you should strongly consider option A. On the other hand, if you are playing a mid-high level game, you should always go option A, or, if you go option B, at least get one level of Metamorphosis early on as you will be facing some ganks from a worried opposition.

Starting Items

This is more or less the only viable build for jungling if you don't have a courier.

Item Build: Creep Commando

This is an item build that focuses on your ability to command units. Primal Rage will give all units you control +25% damage and +25% AS, while Metamorphosis gives all your units 522 movement. If you are controlling a few 1100 HP Minotaurs and Catmen, you should see why this is very, very strong. Of course, this requires a decent amount of micro–if you're not good at that, go ahead and skip to Lone Wolf Rambo. However, understand that this is the far superior build in most games, though its effectiveness wears down as the game moves on, mainly because you should eventually be strong enough that you don't need creeps to help you.

Whispering Helm

Get this item as soon as possible, and start taking over Catmen and Minotaurs. Use it AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.

Abyssal Skull

This will not only give you supreme jungle power, but it will give your Hellbeasts and dominated creeps even more damage and lifeleech. This is an absolute MUST for the build.

Steam Boots

Get this next. Keep it on STR. After you get this, you can move on to the General

Item Build section.

Item Build: Lone Wolf Rambo

This is the same basic build as Creep Commando, but if you don't want to bother with micro, you can forgo Whispering Helm, as Abyssal Skull gives enough lifeleech.

Abyssal Skull

This is still a good item because it makes Kongor super-easy, and gives you the mana regeneration and bonus armor needed to persevere without going back to base.

Get this next. Keep it on STR. After you get this, you can move on to the General

General Item Build

Depending on the situation, you will want to prioritize your items differently. If they are nuke and disable heavy, and are trying to push early, get Shrunken Head first. Otherwise, go for Shieldbreaker for DPS.

Shrunken Head

Absolutely necessary item. It gives you magic immunity. You're a rambo hero, so get it.

Shieldbreaker

Most players don't tend to armor up. Your easiest targets are mages who have very little armor, so Shieldbreaker can increase your DPS by a ton.

Insanitarius

If you're not waddling in money, and have problems obtaining Shieldbreaker or the below items, get this. It's great for the price.

Symbol of Rage

If you went Whispering Helm, this is the natural progression.

Demonic Breastplate

This is the "pro" choice. It increases your survivability by a lot.

Complete Playguide: Game Start

Ask lane mate to go to river to camp 0:00 rune while you block creeps. Hang back and soak XP until you reach LVL3. Then begin to neutral.

Complete Playguide: Early Neutralling

Summon Hellhounds to neutral. Micro them so that neither of them die by pulling them back if they take too much damage. If one is near death, and cannot be used anymore, send it to the river to check rune. Continue until you obtain Abyssal Skull or Whispering Helm, at which point you will be able to tank with your hero and not Hellhounds. You should be LVL6 or 7 when you get the first of those items–that's your target. It's easy sailing after this point. Continue to neutral until you have LVL4 Hellhounds and LVL4 Primal Rage, as well as two of the three items in the first Item Build sections. At this point, you can kill super neutral camps with ease. At LVL9, head to Kongor and kill him, microing your Hellhounds to tank damage for you. Abyssal Skull makes them last a long time if microed properly.

Complete Playguide: Teamfights

Continue to farm indefinitely until you are required for teamfights. You should now have Shrunken Head and/or Shieldbreaker–it is now about 30 minutes in, usually, and you are one or two levels above their highest hero. Position yourself so that you can run in from behind, or from another weird angle, while your team approaches from the front. This flank will force their team to turn in one direction the other, and screws up their push. Alert your team right before you initiate (and you should always initiate), then run in with Shrunken Head activated as you tear their team apart. Because of your superior damage and leveling, as well as your extra life from killing Kongor, your team should wipe them out completely. After this, you can either help your team push, or go back to farming. Continue until you can wipe them out reliably and push to win.

Suiciding to Neutrals

Early on, LVL1-4, it is better to suicide to neutrals than to return to base by foot. Spend all your money, then die–free fountain trip! Make sure you tell your allies so they don't QQ in All Chat. Keep in mind that when you do this, the enemy team will be alerted to your death. This can remind them that you've been jungling, so be prepared for more ganks.

Kongor

You can always kill Kongor at LVL8 with Abyssal Skull if you have LVL4 Hellhounds and LVL4 Primal Rage. I personally like to make sure I have Abyssal Skull and Steam Boots before I go. The earlier you do it, the better. It's a lot of XP and gold for you and your team. Make sure you ask your team to distract for you. Never let them Kongor with you–you need to XP and gold for yourself.

Whispering Helm Abuse

If you decided to go Whispering Helm, remember that all your units have 522 MS when Metamorphosis is activated. After you right-click the hero with all your units, it may be good to select your Minotaurs and Catmen and micro them specifically to stomp.

Dark Lady

Dark Lady is your best friend. If you have a Dark Lady on your team, ANY time the enemy team is at all fragmented, a Metamorphosis rambo + Darkness Falls will result in a dead team. It's ridiculous.

Introduction

The Predator is a N'aix inspired character. He is not as effective 1v1 as N'aix was in DotA, but Predator in HoN has a bit more to offer to the team in the form of his ultimate. I am going to show you two ways to build him, one for in a lane and one for in the jungle.

Skills Description

Venomous Leap
Description: The Predator leaps towards an enemy unit, then strikes them with venomous claws. The enemy takes some damage and is slowed briefly.
Mechanics: 75/125/175/225 Magic Damage and slows by 40%. Lasts 2/3/4/5 seconds.

* Mana = 90
* Cooldown = 20/17/14/11 seconds
* Targeting = Enemy Units
* Modifier = none

Usage: Your only method of catching your prey and ganking (killing other heroes). Unlike the N'aix counterpart of this skill, this slow is actually worth leveling as it's duration and initial damage increases with level. When ganking, you cast this as soon as they begin to run from you. For initiating, you'll typically use this to dive in and hit your ult with everyone, but only if your team is there to back you up. You're able to target magic immune targets as well, but neither the damage or slow will apply, you'll just leap.

Stone Hide
Description: The Predator makes his hide like stone, granting him magic immunity, dispelling debuffs, and increasing his armor temporarily.
Mechanics: Adds +3/6/9/12 armor and magic immunity, lasts 3/3.75/4.5/5.25 seconds.

* Cooldown = 15 seconds
* Targeting = none
* Modifier = none

Usage: The only hero in the game with a built magic immunity spell, the usage of this spell will truly separate noobs from skilled Predator users. To maximize the use of this spell, you should only use it when magic is about to be used on you, so if you are chasing down someone without any slows or disables, then it's best to save it in case things go wrong. You can block projectiles like the arrow from Valkyrie and the hammer from Hammerstorm. For initiating, against certain line-ups it may be necessary to turn on Stone Hide BEFORE you leap into the middle of battle, to ensure that you can cast your ultimate without being disabled.

Carnivorous
Description: The Predator feasts on his opponents flesh with each attack, allowing him to topple the mightiest warriors. Each attack damages opponents for a percentage of their current health, and heals heals the Predator based on the damage dealt.
Mechanics: Damage 4/5/6/7% of enemy current health with each attack and heals the Predator the same amount.

* Cooldown = none
* Targeting = passive
* Modifier = none

Usage: A form of lifesteal that is based upon the current health of your target. Basically, the fatter your target, the more life you steal and damage you do. Keep this in mind when you go up in a team fight, you are best suited at fighting strength tanks as you will use their strength against them. This is what makes Predator an effective counter to tanks. This is also what allows him to jungle.

Terror
Description: The Predator roars, instilling terror in nearby enemies, reducing their armor. Allies who attack enemies effected by terror will receive increased attack and movement speed.
Mechanics: Applies Terror to enemy units in 450 radius around self for 20 seconds. -4/8/12 armor. When attacked, buffs attacker's attack speed by 30/50/70% and movement speed by 15% for 4.5 seconds.

* Targeting = none
* Modifier = none

Usage: Quite a decent ultimate. This is basically an Area of Effect (AoE) fear spell that reduces enemy heroes' armor for a decent amount of time. This spell is why he is one of the best heroes suited as a side-carry/tank/initiator because there ought to be an Agility carry that can really tear the team to pieces once you cast this. Not only does it reduce enemy heroes' armor, but it places a debuff on enemy heroes' in range that grants friendly units increased attack and move speed. It is useful to turn around ganks on you or others, but I think it's most effective in large scale team battles where friendly units can really benefit from this spell.

The Jungle Build obviously focuses first on Carnivorous to survive in the jungle. You then should max Venomous Leap as it is your nuke/slow, unless you are versus a team full of disablers/nukers, in which case you'll level up Stone Hide for magic immunity.

The Lane Build focuses more on lane control by leveling Venomous Leap first. One level in Stone Hide is always gotten early to dodge projectiles and escape gank situations. Carnivorous is leveled later because lifesteal isn't necessary in a lane and because by this time health items are finished, which do nothing but increase the lifesteal and damage. Stone Hide should be gotten over Carnivorous if there is a problem with disabler/nukers.

Justifications

Your main item is Insanitarius. Typically any strength carry hero benefits from Insanitarius, but ESPECIALLY heroes with lifesteal, which basically offsets the only drawback of Insanitarius, the passive life drain. RotT is gotten for minor mana regeneration and because it becomes part of Abyssal Skull later, if necessary. Shield Breaker really makes you a killer, especially when combined with your armor-reducing ultimate. Breast Plate is gotten late game for further attack speed and armor reduction. Notice that both Breast Plate and Skull really benefit the team in team fights, which you should be in the center of.

Shrunken Head is gotten if you simply need more magic immunity on top of your Stone Hide. Stone Hide + Shrunken Head basically ensures that you are magic immune for the duration of one entire fight.

Hero Specific Strategies and Techniques

Techniques

Projectile Dodging - A very useful technique is to activate Stone Hide while a projectile is incoming, such as Hammerstorm's stun or Voodoo Jester's stun.

Strategies

Ganking - Here is how the ideal gank would go, if you gank a lane from the jungle. You approach the target and ultimate if you have it. If the target has a disable, turn on Stone Hide just before you think it's going to be casted on you, or while you see the projectile in the air. Get as many hits on the target before you use your Leap, utilizing your teammates slows and disables. Once they get out of your reach, Leap on them and make sure you attack walk your target, that is once you hit your target with your melee attack, walk next to them in the direction they are heading until your melee attack is off its cooldown. This helps get more attacks in to ensure a kill.

Initiating - Leap in, ultimate, and Stone Hide at the first sign of a disable, which is probably instantaneous. It's always recommended that you save Leap for actually chasing someone who is getting away, so if the opportunity presents itself for you to get into position without Leap, then take it. This may include an invisibility rune, or just the element of surprise by coming out of a nearby cluster of trees.

Escaping Ganks - Your only method of surviving a gank is Stone Hide, so using it to perfection is a must. DO NOT turn on Stone Hide at the first hint of danger; you must assess the situation. If the person is without a disable and you have your ultimate up, chances are you can just eat them. If they have a disable and an ally nearby you need to run, but save your Hide for when you see a projectile coming or a disable being cast, so you have to watch for cast animations. Every second of Stone Hide counts. Also, if you have Insanitarius, remember to use it to survive down to the last attack. If it is off, and you are one hit from death, turn it on you'll be given a couple hundred hit points to survive for a couple more seconds. When the danger has passed, turn it off and teleport home. If the danger comes back again hopefully your Stone Hide and Insanitarius is off cooldown and you can use them again.

Symantec Unveiled the 100 Dirtiest Web Sites

Symantec has revealed the list of 100 Dirtiest Web Sites.

Based on their research, Symantec said the average number of threats per malicious site is 23. However, all of the websites that made the top 100 list have on average 18,000 per site, with 40 percent having over 20,000 security threats. The company also said that three quarters of the sites have been distributing malware for over six months.

In the list of Dirtiest Web Sites, 48% are contain adult contents or porn sites which is no surprise. But the 52 websites covered a random selection of topics such as deer hunting, catering, figure skating, legal services and electronics its quite unexpected.

Going into those sites and just simply clicking could put you at risk of exposing your computer to infection, and worse, put your identity, personal and financial information into the hands of cybercriminals.

Apple is expected to showcase the next generation iPhone and, along with that, a virtual store from which iPhone and iPod Touch owners can download new programs, including games.

The potential of the iPhone and iPod Touch as portable game consoles stirred a writer from Forbes magazine to suggest this week that Nintendo's reign over the handheld market with the DS is over.

The DS has a touch screen, but the iPhone and Touch will have a touch screen and motion sensitivity.

The only thing we can do now is to wait and see.

For those Resident Evil fanatics, we have a new Resident Evil 5 game soon to be release. It had an awesome graphics and the game play mode is similar to RE4. But the sad thing of this game is we need a XBOX 360 to play this game. "I hope they will also release in PS2, which I think it will not happen." The RE5 will be release on the end of this year 2008 or early of 2009.

For those who had a XBOX 360, you are so lucky to get a chance to play this game...

McAfee released a study of the most dangerous or malware prone domains , and that's include the .ph (Philippines) domain.

The McAfee Mal Web report, which serves as a safety guidebook to risky online neighborhoods, reveals that 19.2 percent of all Web sites ending with the .hk domain, followed by China (.cn), the Philippines (.ph), Romania (.ro) and Russia (.ru) can be a security threat for a Web users.

By contrast, the safest domains on the Web are Finland (.fi), Japan (.jp), Norway (.no), Slovenia (.si), and Colombia (.co).

In there research they've found out that the chance of downloading spyware, adware, viruses, or other undesirable software from surfing the Web in general was increased 41.5 percent over 2007.
