Yahoo! Inc Philippine unit appointed Admax Network, Havoc Digital Media, and Yehey to promote and sell various kinds of internet advertising, including display, search, and mobile advertising solutions, to companies and brands in the Philippines.
These local online ads—which will be extended to Yahoo’s global website network—will provide marketing solutions for domestic companies intending to expand their businesses in the online realm.
“Yahoo’s strategy is to utilize its global expertise to make it simple for advertisers to leverage the Internet and as a means to positively transform opportunities for their business and grow the local economy," Jojo Anonuevo, general manager of Yahoo Philippines, said in a statement.
With a global reach of over 500 million consumers and 85 percent of local online consumers, Yahoo said it has made significant progress in boosting the Philippines’ online advertising industry in the country.
Since it has localized its services, Yahoo! Philippines claimed it has become a “must buy" network among advertisers.
Yahoo intends to exploit display advertising which allows customers to put theirs ads online, search advertising which allows marketers to connect with customers with sponsored search, and mobile advertising which marketers can use to display and make sponsored search in the mobile space.
